Valley Swerve & Italia to Present Collaborative Film “Otaco” at MIRAAA Media Fest on Aug. 21st

For the last four weeks, Valley Swerve and Italia have been hard at work curating custom-made sights and sounds for the new, exciting, revolutionary, multi-media festival MIRAAA Media Fest.

Otaco explores in depth the meaning of cultural identity, its possibilities and trappings, and the ways in which a person can accept, reject, or surpass the elements each culture offers its participants. Paired with a critique of Vtuber idolization that runs rampant in online circles, the film also aims to demonstrate how this virtual escapism, which may seem liberating and bonding at first, actually isolates the persons in real life by making it harder for these individuals involved in each internet niche to relate to those outside of it.

The collaborating duo will also feature TWO new singles including a cover of Anzen Chitai’s beloved ballad “Suki Sa” and an original dance-pop track with melodies and lyrics written by Italia.

The collab track, Lady Moon, was previewed earlier this week on Valley Swerve’s Instagram:
